Job Description

Human Resource InternThe HR Intern will support the Human Resources department in various tasks and projects to gain hands-on experience in HR operations. This position is designed to provide exposure to the various facets of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, training, and other administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment Support:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job posting, and coordinating interviews.
  • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system.

Onboarding:

  • Support the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Ensure new hire paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
  • Assist in conducting orientation sessions for new employees.

Employee Relations:

  • Assist in handling employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and events.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive work environment.

Training and Development:

  • Assist in organizing and coordinating training programs.
  • Support the development of training materials and resources.
  • Help track employee training and development activities.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain and update employee records and databases.
  • Assist in preparing HR-related reports and documents.
  • Support various HR projects as assigned.

Key requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree ​ program (Human Resources, Business Administration, organization or industrial phycology etc.) or any other relevant degree/course from recognized University
  • Must provide Introduction letter from university and copy of student I.D.
  • Must provide a partial transcript / testimonial showing current academic scores with a minimum of an
    upper-second degree.
  • Must be available full-time for the duration of the internship period.
  • Must write and submit an internship application letter.

About East African Crude Oil Pipeline

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project (EACOP) is a pipeline that will transport oil produced from Uganda’s Lake Albert oilfields to the port of Tanga in Tanzania where the oil will then be sold onwards to world markets. The pipeline is buried and once topsoil and vegetation have been re-instated people and animals will be able to cross freely anywhere along its length.
