Seattle Center is seeking Human Resources Generalist to join our small but mighty team of HR visionaries. This Generalist position will have a primary focus in recruitment and hiring, with the ability to provide human resources consultation and support to management and employees. This position will use knowledge of various human resources functions including, but not limited to, employee and labor relations, leaves, ADA and Worker’s Comp, safety, training, classification and compensation, performance management and employee event management to provide tactical HR support to the organization.
This position champions race and social justice which requires fostering a relational culture and an openness to learn and apply new ideas and skills through an equity lens. This position applies concepts of race and social justice to all work and engages in departmental efforts to eliminate racial disparities and achieve racial equity in City government and broader community.
*This position is currently scheduled to sunset December 31, 2028, pending alternative funding.
Regular hours are 20 hours a week but can anticipate up to 40 hours a week during peak recruitment and hiring or for special projects. Some remote work is possible, up to 2 days a week. In office days will need to be flexible to accommodate on-site interview coordination or other business needs on Campus or the Waterfront.

The full pay range for this step-progression position is $43.86 - $51.24 per hour. New employees begin at Step 1 of the pay progression, which is $43.86 hourly. Current City employees’ starting rate of pay will be based on Personnel Rules regarding promotions.
