Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Reports To: Director, Corporate Human Resources

Job Summary:

The HR Generalist will be responsible for completing a broad range of tasks to support the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources department. They should have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from sourcing candidates, hiring, onboarding, and Leave administration. The HR Generalist will undertake a wide range of tasks such as organizing trainings, and updating HR policies. They will ensure employee records are properly updated and managed in a confidential manner. They will have frequent interaction and support the field HR management team as well as corporate human resources initiatives.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment process for the field
  • Schedule and conduct new hire orientation for all Restaurant Support Center (RSC) employees to ensure that new employees receive a great onboarding experience, to include executing welcome emails, training agendas, meet & greet sessions and coordinating new hire equipment/materials.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize various in office events to ensure employee engagement
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic form
  • Coordinate RSC functions that promote recognition and celebration
  • Perform leave of absence (LOA) administration as directed by Director of Total Rewards
  • Administration of the Rising Star GED program
  • Manage E-Verify process, system, case updates, completion and running audit reports.
  • Collaborate with HR field team to collect required documentation for case management.
  • Responsible for ordering government compliance posters for RSC and field locations.
  • Maintain, update and distribute company organizational charts
  • Create and distribute the company termination form for RSC terminations
  • Manage business card ordering process
  • Manage corporate service recognition program, generate quarterly reports for service awards, manage recognition vendor and prepare & distribute monthly birthday and anniversary report

Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) will be a plus
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work in a team with a result driven approach
  • Additional HR training will be a plus
