Hyosung HICO is seeking to fill a Human Resource Generalist position. The ideal candidate will provide professional Human Resources generalist support for a broad range of HR functions in a manufacturing environment, with primary responsibility for employee relations, policy administration, attendance management, corrective action, benefits administration, leave administration, HRIS administration, reporting, compliance, and maintenance of employee records in accordance with Company policy and applicable law

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Conduct investigations related to employee relations matters, workplace concerns, policy violations, disciplinary issues, and employee complaints; document findings and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Work closely with supervisors in assigned business units to ensure policy compliance, attendance management, positive employee relations, and administration of corrective actions and disciplinary processes.
- Respond to and counsel employees, supervisors, and managers regarding employee relations matters, Company policies and procedures, benefits, attendance, and workplace concerns.
- Promote employee welfare and positive employee relations by serving as a liaison between employees and management and assisting in the resolution of workplace issues.
- Manage corrective action processes related to attendance, conduct, and performance concerns, ensuring consistency, documentation accuracy, and policy compliance.
- Administer leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, Workers Compensation, military leave, parental leave, and other Company-sponsored leave programs in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Administer Company-sponsored benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, and voluntary benefit programs.
- Coordinate and administer the annual Open Enrollment process, including employee communications, benefit education, enrollment activities, vendor coordination, and issue resolution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for benefit-related questions, enrollment changes, claims issues, eligibility matters, and vendor escalations.
- Utilize HRIS by maintaining data integrity, employee records, user access, system functionality, and ongoing process improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee records, files, and data and ensure compliance with Company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Support and assist HYOSUNG HICO’s Human Resources staff and other staff as needed.
- Know HYOSUNG HICO’s Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.

THE NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Support HRIS implementations, upgrades, testing, audits, reporting enhancements, and system optimization projects.
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute HR reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics, including headcount, turnover, attendance, leave utilization, and benefits enrollment data
- Assist with payroll review, auditing, approvals, and reconciliation activities to support data accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and promote employee wellness initiatives, health awareness activities, and benefits education efforts to support employee engagement and utilization of benefit programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing workforce operating multiple shifts preferred but not required.
- Advanced experience in employee relations, attendance administration, corrective action, and policy interpretation in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience administering employee benefits, annual Open Enrollment, benefits communication, and employee wellness initiatives.
- Advanced experience administering FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, and other leave of absence programs
- Experience utilizing HRIS, including system maintenance, implementation support, upgrades, testing, reporting, and data integrity management.
- Advanced understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws, HR compliance, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS platforms, reporting tools, and HR technology systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing within a multi-cultural work environment; multilingual skills are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and priorities.
- Bilingual is a plus
PHYSICAL/MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS OF THE WORKPLACE:
- Primarily works in an office environment with regular use of standard office equipment such as a computer, telephone, copier, scanner, and related technology.
- Position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and to move throughout office and manufacturing areas as needed.
- Must be able to conduct routine floor walks in a manufacturing environment and occasionally work outdoors when supporting plant operations or employee matters while wearing required PPE
- Requires the ability to walk, bend, reach, and travel between departments; maintain awareness of surroundings in a manufacturing setting.
- Analyze information, identify trends, and draw conclusions from quantitative and qualitative data.
