We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Batesville, Indiana

Your Role at Batesville:

As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for providing broad human resources support to the organization. Areas of support include recruiting, talent assessment, governance and governmental reporting, written communications, and employment law and labor.

What You’ll Do:

  • Executes all aspects of the hiring/selection process, including recruiting strategies, interviewing, and onboarding; prepares and maintains employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions.
  • Build a continuous candidate pipeline and create various leads through sourcing methods.
  • Foster strong relationships with hiring managers to assess staffing needs, review and update job descriptions, and develop recruiting strategies.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Batesville brand and our brand image in the marketplace, effectively communicate that information to prospective candidates, and successfully identify individuals who will be successful within our organization.
  • Analyzes and interprets employment-related data and prepares required reports or analysis. Conducts research on human resources issues and makes recommendations to management to improve conditions, processes, or efficiency.
  • Manages HR projects as required to meet overall business strategies and requirements; Performs and/or supports processes and special projects as appropriate.
  • Conducts human resource audits surrounding compliance and reporting; develops processes and procedures for maintenance and implements accordingly.
  • Addresses associate relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other associate concerns taking into account laws surrounding Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • May take an active role in execution of grievance process including investigation, conducting meetings, and writing Company's response along with participation in arbitrations as needed.
  • May take an active role in labor negotiation process including research, preparation, and participation.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Human Resources, industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years related Human Resources experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in Human Resources
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and oral communications

Nice to Haves:

  • Basic experience with HRIS systems
  • Basic knowledge of labor relations
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification
