Starting salary: $42,000 - $50,000
We are looking for a Human Resource Assistant to join our team. This position serves as a trusted to partner to the Human Resource team, and is responsible for handling day-to-day administrative duties.
DUTIES/RESPONSABILITIES
Process new hire paperwork, benefits enrollments, new-hire orientation.
Onboarding and new hire support
Responsible for HRIS data entry and data accuracy
Schedule interviews and support all aspects of the recruitment process
Responds to employee inquiries on HR policies, leave, and benefits.
Provide general administrative support to the Human Resource Manager
Perform ad-hoc projects and special assignments.
Attendance tracking
Employee events and general communication
Assist with annual compliance training
Assist in ensuring that policies and procedures related to human resources are followed
Support EHS by performing administrative support and assigned tasks
Respect and support the Howmet Code of Conduct and EHS rules and guidelines
Other tasks and duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Proficient with HRIS systems
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, excel, power point)
High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Basic understanding of Canadian and Ontario HR related legislation (OH&S, ESA, PIPEDA, AODA, OHRC)
Familiarity with EHS standards (OSHA/CSA, ISO)
Bachelors or Diploma in Human Resource Management or combination of equivalent education and experience.
