Responsibilities

• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the effective implementation of the human factors programme and related safety management system procedures
• Conduct human factors studies and provide human factors advice on relevant safety management system and business process such as asset design and renewal, incident investigation, competence management, risk assessments etc.
• Maintain a database to capture and analyse human error related events from accident and incident reports to identify the underlying causes and impacts systematically and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are in place
• Conduct trainings and promotions for raising awareness on human factors and enhancing the control of human performance risks

Requirements

• Degree in Human Factors Engineering/ Ergonomics/ Psychology or a related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Human Factors engineering preferably gained in railway environment, of which 3 years should be at supervisory level
• Possession of membership of a recognised professional institution is preferred
• Trainings on Hazard Management / Risk Assessment are advantages
• Good interpersonal, communication, analytical, reporting writing skills
• Candidate with less experience may be considered for junior position
