Job Description

Human Capital Management (HCM) recruits, develops and rewards the people of Goldman Sachs. The Talent Development team in HCM oversees learning and development initiatives and programming for the firm. We educate our people on our culture, develop new and experienced managers and leaders, build the skills for creating and inclusive environment, orient new hires, help people design their career paths, and provide opportunities for technical skill development.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Contribute to shaping the overall global strategy and owning the regional learning strategy
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to assess talent needs and priorities and advise as needed
  • Design, develop, and deliver high impact and blended learning solutions that are aligned with the firm’s strategic priorities and address stakeholder needs in a dynamic and rapidly agile environment
  • Research on the latest learning approaches/tools to be utilized in programs to enhance learning experiences
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design, deliver, analyze the best learning solutions for stakeholders
  • Work with HCM colleagues to prioritize evolving development needs across businesses and regions
  • Serve as a core team member for a variety of initiatives and take a hands-on approach with project management
  • Lead, coach and drive high performance of talent development team in the region; escalate significant challenges and risks as appropriate

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor degree required
  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience of progressive L&D or talent management experience, with at least 3 years in a regional leadership capacity within a global institution.
  • Proven track record of managing L&D initiatives across multiple APAC jurisdictions
  • Ability to teach and speak on leadership, management and professional skills topics
  • Excellent project management and execution skills; strong detail orientation; strong analytical skills
  • Experience in managing people, overseeing multifaceted initiatives and working on a global team
  • Problem solver with ability to diagnose problems and develop innovative approaches to deliver learning solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in EnglishProficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is highly desirable. Highly experienced in formal / informal presentation and facilitation
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Group facilitation, consultative and advisory skills
  • Experience and expertise designing learning offerings e.g. workshops
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and demonstrated client service focus
  • Ability to function well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment that demands creativity, resilience and excellence
  • Strong commercial orientation and good understanding of the firm’s businesses
  • A strong growth mindset and consistent focus on self-improvement
  • Demonstrates a risk and control mindset adhering to and coaching the team to understand the firm’s policies and procedures.
  • AI literacy, ability to leverage AI-powered learning platforms, adaptive learning paths, and automated content curation to scale training delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Developing ability to coach leaders or experience as an executive coach within an organization or as an external coach or experience conducting executive assessments
  • Organizational psychology background desirable
