About TDC:
Tiffin Developmental Center is a residential facility located in Northwest Ohio. We support youth aged 10–17 and adults with developmental disabilities. Our large rural campus provides opportunities for residents to be active and engaged as part of the community. Direct care staff and nurses provide 24/7 support to individuals who call TDC home. We focus on stabilization and support so individuals can integrate into environments that best meet their personal wants and needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Selection

    • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment and selection processes, including internal job bids, promotions, and transfers.

    • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and collective bargaining agreements.

    • Maintain adherence to EEO, ADA, and other regulatory requirements; assist with documentation, reporting, and investigations.

    • Represent the organization at job fairs, outreach events, and community workforce initiatives.

  • Labor Relations & Compliance

    • Assist with interpretation of collective bargaining agreements.

    • Document grievances and support disciplinary processes.

    • Prepare materials for labor–management meetings.

    • Maintain and audit personnel records for the Tiffin Developmental Center.

    • Prepare personnel actions (e.g., ePARs) and update/manage OAKS HCM data.

    • Support compliance for licensure, certification, and credentialing.

    • Submit IT tickets for onboarding and offboarding employees.

  • Payroll, Benefits & Leave Support

    • Assist central office payroll with timesheet review, pay adjustments, and leave auditing.

    • Support employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries related to retirement, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and disability programs.

    • Assist with FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs by reviewing documentation, tracking entitlements, issuing required notices, coordinating return-to-work procedures, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Training, Orientation & Employee Engagement

    • Coordinate new hire orientation and employee training, including scheduling, materials preparation, facilitation, and recordkeeping.

    • Conduct follow-up meetings with new or promoted employees.

    • Participate in engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.

    • Conduct exit interviews and compile trend data to support organizational improvement.

  • Cross-Functional HR Support

    • Provide cross-trained support across all HR functions—including staffing, benefits, payroll, leave administration, EEO/ADA compliance, and labor relations—to ensure continuity of services and effective HR operations.

Qualifications

2 yrs. exp. in human resources.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Associate, 64611.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
