Reporting To: Hub Manager

Compensation: £31,000 - £36,000 / year


Job purpose
The Hub Coordinator plays a key role in delivering a smooth, professional and customer centred experience within the UKATC Hubs. They will ensure the day to day administrative and operational running of the Hubs, supporting innovators, tenants, partners and colleagues with a high quality service. Working closely with the Hub Manager, they will help maintain safe, well run and ready to use facilities, support enquiries and bookings, coordinate logistics, and act as an approachable first point of contact for ventures accessing Hub services and wider UKATC programmes. This role is central to sustaining a welcoming, well managed environment that reflects our new strategy and customer facing approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for innovators, visitors and partners, ensuring a welcoming and professional Hub experience.
  • Support venture enquiries, bookings and drop‑ins, and route ventures to the Hub Manager, Customer Success or programme teams when needed.
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day Hub operations, including reception cover, meeting rooms, supplies and basic procurement.
  • Keep shared spaces organised, safe and ready for use, maintaining a consistently high standard of presentation.
  • Manage logistics for visitors, events, tours and small Hub activities.
  • Assist with routine H&S checks, inductions and basic site safety procedures, escalating issues to the Hub Manager.
  • Liaise with contractors or facilities providers for minor maintenance tasks.
  • Provide administrative support to the Hub Manager, including tracking Hub usage, preparing routine reports and maintaining operational records.
  • Support communication of Hub activities, bookings, and updates to colleagues.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential:

  • Experience in administrative, office coordination, facilities, customer service or similar operational roles.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Confident, friendly communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse innovators, partners and colleagues.
  • Proactive, reliable and comfortable working in a dynamic, customer‑facing environment.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office tools and willingness to learn new systems


Desirable:

  • Experience working in hubs, innovation spaces, shared workspaces or customer‑facing operational environments.
  • Experience coordinating events or bookings.
  • Basic understanding of H&S procedures or willingness to undertake training.
  • Interest in agri‑tech, innovation, or supporting early‑stage ventures
