Christchurch International Airport Limited (CIAL) is a multi-dimensional business, and our long term ambition is to be an infrastructure platform of impact for Te Waipounamu. This will be delivered through accelerating core growth across planes and passengers, expanding our property portfolio, lifting productivity and building long term resilience. CIAL operates New Zealand’s 2nd largest airport and our success has a direct correlation to the success of our city, region and country. Join our champion team of 250 and see what difference you can make every day.
We are looking for a practical, people-focused Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner who will build trust, lean in and help get things done. You will work closely with leaders and teams to understand their work, context and risks, then provide coaching and support to implement controls and understand whether they are working as intended. You will be a contributing team member, who proactively supports the broader team and leans-in to help.
This is not a traditional HSW role. You will be a visible role model who learns from the people closest to the work and helps teams turn insight into action. A curious, learning mindset and a flexible, practical, risk-focused approach are essential to support our varied and complex work environment.
In return for your hard work and dedication you will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package, the level of which will be dependent on your experience and expertise. Other amazing benefits include fully subsidised health insurance, free onsite car parking, annual flu shots, and a generous in-house recognition programme.
You will have the opportunity to extend your technical knowledge and practical experience within a workplace that prides itself on its culture and reputation. You will have access to ongoing professional development and networks internally and externally to help you reach your full potential.
At Christchurch airport, we live our values. One way we deliver on these values is that we seek people with diverse perspectives and life experiences to come and work with us, and we foster an inclusive environment so that all perspectives are welcomed and heard.
