Purpose of role:

  • Support line management implement Castrol HSSE programs and standards (Control of Work i.e Life Saving Rules, Compliance Task, Self Verification, Crisis & Continuity Management, Working With Contractor, ), and monitor compliance with Castrol policies, expectations and local legislation.

  • Provide coaching and support to line management for implementation of HSSE requirements in the Plant, Logistics and other designated operations.

  • Coach supply chain line managers improve their HSSE technical and safety leadership competencies, delivering HSSE training as required.

  • Coach and challenge line management to prioritise the HSSE agenda, identifying the necessary resources for successful delivery.

  • Support line management conform with external HSSE management standards, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45000

  • Incharge on plant security and conduct security inspection and audit.

Key Results/ Accountabilities :

  • Maintain HSSE management information, track and report on performance, analyse gaps and develop action plans to improve performance.

  • Partner with line management to plan and manage HSSE verification programs within the operation, ensuring recommendations are actioned and followed up.

  • Ensure Line management complete annual operational risk assessment, identifying key risks in the operation, and developing relevant improvement programmes and initiatives.

  • Support line management in near miss and incident reporting, ensuring accurate and timely incident notification (including IRIS), then conduct investigations.

  • Lead incident investigation when requires.

  • Maintain and review , update and communicate Plant HSSE procedures

  • Ensure Emergency Response Plan and facilities for the business conform to crisis management framework.

  • Work with the plant management, regional supply chain and regional HSSE to agree the annual HSSE plan, activity set and resources.

  • Act as owner of operations within the area of accountability, ensuring all activities, products and services are appropriately documented to allow for regulatory applicability to be captured. Act as point of contact for these operations to create appropriate compliance tasks.

  • In the capacity of Field Inspector, ensure timely completion of Field Inspections as per the annual plan, document all comments in eVerify, and ensure appropriate actions to address findings are assigned, documented, and monitored to closure as per the procedure.

  • Able to resolve issues by getting input from others and make decision.

  • Able to work independently i.e. less guidance

  • Establish annual HSSE plan for plant to ensure compliance and develop competency of the people

Experience & Expertise ;

  • Having HSSE experience in a manufacturing or any operational environment.

  • Technical/ science degree/ diploma or any formal HSSE qualification.

  • Has attended OSH Coordinator or Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH are advantageous.

  • Experienced and working knowledge of Castrol policies and standards.

  • Experienced and working knowledge of local HSSE legislation, ISO 14001 and ISO 45000.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and influence people at all levels.

  • Ability to work with others to make real difference.
