Are you a self-motivated salesperson who is passionate about making a difference in improving the lives of people with diabetes and obesity? As our next Hospital Sales Representative, you will be the trusted face of Novo Nordisk to healthcare professionals across your territory – translating our science into real outcomes for people living with serious chronic diseases.
Your new role
This is a role for a commercially driven professional who thrives on building relationships, spotting opportunities and owning their territory end-to-end. You will represent our expanding Cardiometabolic portfolio, shaping how our therapies reach the patients who need them most.
Day-to-day your tasks will include:
- Driving territory sales and supporting broader regional sales development through close collaboration with colleagues in Sales, Marketing and Customer-Facing teams
- Analysing and diagnosing opportunities and challenges across your territory, then developing and executing a territory plan you are fully accountable for
- Delivering first-class customer engagement through calls, group presentations and tailored meetings aligned to our sales and marketing strategy
- Identifying and prospecting new categories of doctors treating other serious chronic diseases, and building long-term value-adding relationships with existing customers
- Actively monitoring competitor activity, evaluating impact and adapting your approach
- Contributing to regional meetings, national conferences and cross-functional projects that support shared team goals
- Completing all required administration accurately and on time across relevant systems (e.g. IO-ENGAGE, Medicines Australia reporting, KAMs, and expenses), always working in line with the Novo Nordisk Way
Your new department
You will join our Cardiometabolic team in Queensland, reporting to the State Sales Manager and working across Hospitals from Northern NSW, Toowoomba, Ipswich and South Brisbane. It is a fast-moving, collaborative environment where every representative plays a direct role in bringing our expanding portfolio to more hospitals, more specialists and ultimately more patients across the region.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a curious, resilient and customer-obsessed sales professional who is energised by ambitious targets and complex clinical conversations. You will likely bring:
- A minimum of 3 years' sales experience in the ethical pharmaceutical industry, ideally with specialist or hospital sales exposure
- Tertiary qualifications in Life Sciences, Nursing, Paramedical or a Business-related field (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and with external HCPs and KOLs
- High learning agility, curiosity and the creativity to solve complex business problems – plus comfort working with ambiguity and change
- A current driver's licence and active driving experience, as regular territory travel is essential
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
