About the role:

Reporting to the Quality & Project Systems Manager, the HSEQ Systems Lead will take a leadership role in the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Georgiou’s HSEQ Management System, ensuring it continues to meet legislative, certification, accreditation, client and operational requirements.

This is more than a traditional compliance role. We’re looking for someone who combines strong HSEQ systems knowledge with a contemporary, technology-focused mindset and a genuine interest in using data, software and digital solutions to make HSEQ systems simpler, smarter and more effective for our people.

You’ll work closely with HSEQ leaders, operational managers and project teams across the business and provide leadership and support to our HSEQ Systems Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities will include

• Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of Georgiou’s integrated HSEQ Management System in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and Federal Safety Commission accreditation requirements.
• Partner with HSEQ and operational leaders across multiple projects, business units and states to identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and documentation.
• Drive practical, user-friendly HSEQ systems that make it easier for employees, contractors and project teams to access information and capture accurate data.
• Support the ongoing development and implementation of HSEQ reporting software and digital solutions, including stakeholder consultation, training and rollout.
• Coordinate HSEQ performance data and support accurate dashboards and monthly Board reporting.
• Provide guidance, training and support across the HSEQ Management System, with a particular focus on developing and supporting the HSEQ Systems Coordinators.
• Undertake internal management system audits and drive improvements and corrective actions.
• Support client pre-qualifications, tender submissions and other business requirements.

Your skills and experience:

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in HSEQ systems, management systems or a similar role, ideally within a large construction, infrastructure or comparable multi-site organisation.
• Strong practical experience maintaining integrated management systems certified to ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Experience with the Federal Safety Commission Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and improve management systems while balancing compliance requirements with practical operational needs.
• Strong digital capability and demonstrated experience using and administering web-based HSEQ or business systems.
• A genuine interest in technology, data and using software to improve HSEQ performance, reporting and user experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with operational and HSEQ teams across multiple sites and states.
• Lead Auditor training and/or a relevant tertiary qualification will be highly regarded.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other business intelligence and dashboard tools will be highly regarded but is not essential.
