About the role

We are looking for a proactive and forward-thinking Health, Safety, Environment, Quality Systems Analyst to help strengthen and improve the systems that support our HSEQ performance across the business.

Reporting to the Chief Health, Safety & Risk Officer, this role will maintain and continuously improve our Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring alignment with ISO standards, ACC requirements, legislation, and business needs.

You will play a key role in using data, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, identify trends, strengthen assurance, and support better risk-based decision-making.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure alignment with:
  • ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001
  • ACC Accredited Employer Programme (AEP)
  • Maintain environmental aspects and impacts registers, risk registers, legal compliance registers, and other management system documentation.
  • Ensure feedback from any national audit or compliance assessment is reviewed against current IMS and updated where required.
  • Analyse trends, recurring issues, emerging risks, and areas of opportunity to support informed decision-making, continual improvement, and risk reduction.
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and monthly HSEQ performance reports for Executive and Board members.
  • Support digital HSEQ systems, data quality improvements, and reporting optimisation.
  • Champion the use of AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, document management, trend analysis, knowledge management, and system performance.
  • Identify opportunities to automate routine reporting, compliance monitoring, and administrative processes.
  • Collect, validate, analyse, and interpret health, safety, environmental, quality, and operational performance lead and lag performance data.

Qualifications

About you

You will be a systems-focused HSEQ professional who enjoys improving processes, analysing data, and creating practical solutions.

You will bring:

  • Relevant qualification or experience in HSEQ, environmental management, quality, business systems, or data analytics.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 31000, and ACC Accredited Employer Programme requirements.
  • Relevant experience managing HSEQ systems, compliance processes, or quality management systems.
  • Strong document management and process improvement skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Ability to prepare Executive and Board-level reports.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
  • Experience with digital HSEQ systems (Damstra/Ideagen or Eco Portal experience desirable).
  • Understanding of AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve business processes and training.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
