De Beers Group has an opportunity for a motivated and energetic individual to join the Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Training (SHERT) department at the Gahcho Kué Mine Site based in the Northwest Territories. This is a contract position ending April 2027. Reporting to the Training Superintendent, this position is responsible for delivering general training in the areas of HSE critical risk training and light auxiliary equipment Eighty percent of this role is in the field as an on-the-job trainer and twenty percent is maintaining training records. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to safe work practices and strives for zero harm.

This is a site-based position, working 14 days on/ 14 days off rotation.
We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in an industrial or mining environment where they have not only completed the required courses but have also applied the knowledge and principles in their day-to-day work. Practical, hands-on experience using these concepts in an operational setting will be a key factor in the selection process.Preference would be for a individual with extensive industrial and/or mining experience with an emphasis in mineral processing operations or a similar frontline role where extensive first-hand experience was gained in the above areas.
