MMR HSE Trainer:

Pay: $36.00 - 45.00/hour depending on experience

40 hour work weeks

Position Summary

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting the district's safety and compliance efforts by ensuring employee training requirements are current, accurately documented, and tracked. This position maintains training records, manages training matrices, coordinates required safety training, and assists with compliance monitoring to ensure personnel meet company, client, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee training records and databases.
• Develop, maintain, and regularly update district training matrices by craft, role, project, and client requirements.
• Monitor training expiration dates and proactively notify employees and supervisors of upcoming renewals.
• Coordinate and schedule required safety training courses, orientations, certifications, and refresher training.
• Verify training compliance for new hires, transfers, and project assignments.
• Generate reports on training completion, deficiencies, and compliance status for management review.
• Maintain accurate documentation of OSHA, client-specific, and company-required training records.
• Assist in preparing documentation for audits, inspections, and client compliance reviews.
• Work closely with project management, field supervision, and HR to ensure training requirements are met.
• Support district safety initiatives, meetings, and special projects as assigned.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of employee records and training documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative, training coordination, or safety-related experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining training management systems or learning management systems (LMS).
• Experience developing and managing training matrices.
• Knowledge of construction industry safety requirements and compliance standards.
• First Aid/CPR Instructor, OSHA 30, or other safety-related certifications are a plus.

Work Environment

• Primarily office-based with occasional travel to project sites.
• Standard work schedule of Monday through Friday, with flexibility as needed to support training and operational requirements.
