Job Description

As HSE Technician within our NOV Flexibles team in Kalundborg, you will support the day-to-day provision of HSE support, training and reporting functions at the site. You will maintain positive and proactive relationships with key stakeholders and employees, working closely with shop floor operators to educate and train them on HSE risks in daily operations.

You will also assist with implementing and updating the strategy for identified key risk areas, communicate changes and process improvements, and actively participate in formal and informal communication to increase awareness and understanding of HSE issues. The role will also take the lead in reviewing work practices and ensuring recommendations and process improvements from the shop floor are documented correctly.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure company HSE policies and guidelines are met by communicating and having dialogue around key risk areas to and from the shop floor.
  • Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees, contractors and visitors.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and maintenance of internal HSE processes, including Permit to Work, observations, inspections, PPE support, chemicals, safety meetings and contractor introductions.
  • Make recommendations and support implementation of continuous improvements to internal guidelines and work instructions.
  • Educate and train employees in HSE risks in daily operations.
  • Report to management on the performance of HSE processes and any need for improvement.
  • Record incidents and accidents, and support investigations, corrective and preventive actions and follow-ups.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of relevant HSE training.
  • Liaise closely with other operational teams to support continuous improvement of processes.
  • Carry out other duties as business requirements dictate, as may be reasonably expected by the line manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2–3 years of hands-on HSE experience, ideally in a manufacturing or similar operational environment, with a focus on day-to-day site activities.
  • Practical experience conducting HSE inspections, audits, training or onboarding, and supporting incident investigations.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on role on the shop floor, supporting daily HSE activities and interacting with employees.
  • Basic understanding or exposure to HSE standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO 14001 / ISO 45001).
  • Ability to work onsite without relocation or sponsorship support.
  • Danish language skills.

What We Offer

  • A collaborative and professional work environment at a key NOV manufacturing site.
  • An inclusive workplace that values diversity and equal opportunities.
  • A hands-on HSE role with close interaction across the shop floor and operational teams.
  • Opportunity to support HSE training, reporting, and process improvements at site level.
