Job Description

The HSE System Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance and user support of FLINT's Health and Safety Information (HSI) system and associated HSE documentation. The position serves as a key point of contact for HSI users, ensuring system data is accurate, current and accessible, user access and roles are appropriately maintained, and HSE information can be effectively reported and utilized across the organization. This role combines foundational health and safety knowledge with strong technical aptitude and administrative capability. The HSE System Administrator supports the effective utilization of existing HSE systems and processes.

What you'll be doing?

• Administer and support the HSI system, ensuring effective day-to-day operation, user access management, issue resolution, and ongoing system maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance and user support for HSI functionality, troubleshooting system-related issues and collaborating with IT and stakeholders to resolve technical concerns.
• Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and quality of HSI data through regular reviews, administrative controls, and continuous process improvements.
• Generate HSE reports and support data collection, performance metrics, audits, compliance requirements, and management reporting activities.
• Manage HSE documentation within the Safety Management System, including document formatting, version control, approvals, publishing, and distribution of controlled documents.
• Utilize strong organizational, communication, technical, and Microsoft Office skills, along with attention to detail and foundational HSE knowledge, to effectively support HSE systems and administrative processes.

Qualifications

• Certificate, diploma, or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, HSE Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
• ACSA designation, safety training, or additional education in information systems, data management, or business administration is considered an asset.
• 1-3 years of experience in health and safety, HSE administration, safety systems administration, or a related role is preferred.
• Experience using HSI or other electronic safety management systems, along with strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn new technologies, is highly valued.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas or industrial sector is an asset; recent graduates from recognized OHS/HSE programs are encouraged to apply.
