The HSE Supervisor, working under the direction of the HSE Manager, will be responsible for supporting the Cressona Team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. This includes providing training and guidance to employees on HSE matters. The role will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on HSE performance, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant Federal, State and Company laws, regulations, and standards. This position reports to the HSE Manager

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an HSE role
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and ANSI.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Health, Safety and Environment preferred
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams, etc.…).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Acute attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing situations.

What you will be doing

  • Support the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures, including contributing to the development of HSE training materials.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including OSHA regulations.
  • Act as a resource for employees on HSE matters, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Work with assigned departments to develop and implement HSE improvement plans and initiatives.
  • Provide solutions and intervention strategies for health, safety, and environmental hazards.
  • Meet with assigned departmental management team to define HSE goals and objectives.
  • Conduct inspections, identify hazards and assign appropriate corrective actions.
  • Assist with the investigation of incidents, including collecting and analyzing data and completing reports.
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance, including tracking and analyzing metrics such as incident rates, Injury Free Events and Environmental near misses/incidents.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE matters, including emergency response procedures, the proper use of personal protective equipment, and the handling of hazardous materials.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest HSE trends, policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Other work as directed.
