Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated HSE Supervisor to join our team. As the HSE Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our operations. You will work closely with our project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop and implement HSE policies and procedures. Your role will be critical in promoting a positive safety culture and preventing accidents and incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with company standards and local regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
- Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Review and approve risk assessments and safe work procedures for all activities.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure HSE requirements are integrated into project plans and schedules.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and reports and communicate HSE performance to management.
- Conduct emergency response drills and ensure emergency response plans are in place and regularly tested.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and participate in HSE audits and inspections.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in HSE and implement improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures.
- Ability to conduct HSE training and awareness programs.
- Proficient in conducting HSE audits and investigations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
