KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure the project is legally compliant with all health and safety legislation
To assist and collaborate with other HSE representatives of the Project Stakeholders.
To implement and maintain an environment health safety program involving hazard identification evaluation and control, accident/injury prevention, hazardous material/waste management, emergency preparedness, fire/life safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulatory compliance.
Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
To plan, implement, and conduct preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
To plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.
Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfils guidelines and regulations.
Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
Develops and maintains project environmental health and safety program
Reports the status of projects with regards to health and safety
Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
HSE qualifications with minimum of 3 years’ experience undertaking HSE related inspections and audits on construction sites.
Preferably with experience in coastal and infrastructure related works.
