The opportunity:
Contribute to improving Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance in the respective organization to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment. Support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge to offer solutions and advice. Facilitate delivery of support from the Center of Expertise (CoE) and ensure effective risk management through HSE excellence along Hitachi Energy’s value chain.
How you'll make an impact:
You will ensure guidance on compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and internal policies, empowering the team to understand obligations, liability and how to fulfil their roles according to local HSE law and Energy Group policy, instructions and standards, define and implement effective HSE control actions to mitigate identified risks.
You will implement Hitachi Energy HSE standards and programs across the factory, ensure appropriate HSE equipment and tools are available and used correctly, monitor workplace practices, provide guidance to employees to mitigate risks, investigate incidents and develop corrective action plans based on findings.
You will define HSE training needs and conduct or coordinate training sessions for employees, foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting HSE initiatives and best practices, bring technical HSE support to the factory management team for effective operations, conduct regular HSE audits and inspections to assess compliance with standards
You will collaborate with various departments to integrate HSE considerations into daily operations, establish and maintain emergency response plans, conducting drills for preparedness, support operations with HSE supervision and technical guidance, monitor and assess the availability and usage of HSE tools and equipment, conduct engaging HSE training programs for all employees, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
You will monitor and ensure workplace safety during the second shift, must coordinate effectively with the day shift team to ensure continuity of HSE operations and communication, familiarity with risks and operational characteristics specific to second shift operations, such as reduced staffing levels and limited access to certain resources.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in environmental, Health & Safety (or similar).
More than 3 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety and strong technical problem-solving skills, analysis and in-depth understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety in productions manufacturing environment.
Strong ability to make change with solid proof, ability to manage complex issues and work with cross-functional teams and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
Responsible team player with structured, proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented work approach. ISO14001, ISO45001 standard and experience in environmental management certificate is a plus.
Fluency in English both written and spoken.
