The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as an HSE professional and play a key role in driving a strong health, safety, and environmental culture within our factory operations in Zurich. You will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, minimize risks, and continuously improve HSE performance while supporting sustainable and safe operations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, internal policies, and Hitachi Energy standards across the factory
Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and define mitigation actions
Drive incident investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive measures
Monitor HSE KPIs, prepare reports, and support data-driven decision-making
Deliver and coordinate HSE training sessions while promoting awareness and best practices
Support internal, external, and certification audits, ensuring timely follow-up actions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to integrate HSE into daily operations
Lead HSE initiatives and environmental improvement programs (e.g. waste, water, energy)
Your Background
Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in an industrial or energy environment
Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or similar field
Certified HSE professional according to Swiss legislation (mandatory)
Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and HSE Swiss regulations
Proven experience in risk assessments, incident analysis, and performance reporting
Strong communication and training skills with the ability to influence behaviors
Analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative working style
Fluent in German and English; additional expertise in ergonomics or hazardous materials is a plus
