Job Description
The HSE Representative is responsible for promoting a safe and environmentally compliant work environment by ensuring adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role supports daily operations by identifying hazards, conducting inspections, and reinforcing a strong safety culture across the workforce.
Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on-site
- Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and job site evaluations
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Lead and participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Monitor compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports
- Support Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and risk assessments for ongoing operations
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, records, and reporting logs
- Assist with emergency response planning and drills
- Serve as a point of contact for safety-related concerns and guidance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; degree in safety, environmental science, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of HSE or safety experience (oil & gas, construction, or industrial setting preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards
- Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in field environments and adapt to varying conditions
- Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, fit for duty and agility.
