Provides visible leadership with Total Ownership mindset, promoting a strong safety culture aligned with the Journey to Excellence.
Works in conjunction with the General Manager to establish an deliver on division HSE objectives and priorities.
Fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and procedural discipline through consistent and timely feedback to operations and support functions.
Acts as a subject matter expert on HSE standards within the Integrated Journey to Excellence (iJ2E) management system, as well as applicable regulations, contracts, and governing documents.
Ensures effective implementation, understanding, and adherence to HSE standards across the division.
Accountable for the oversight, governance, and effectiveness of all training and competency programs for all personnel.
Leads and oversees, in collaboration with Quality, Human Resources, and Operations, the identification and implementation of training and competency requirements aligned with HSE standards.
Leads the implementation, utilization, and continuous improvement of the Company’s management system, ensuring alignment with client and Company expectations.
Develop and implement local HSE standards and procedures to support division safety and performance goals.
Mentors and develops personnel to ensure competence in safety-critical tasks and adherence to operational standards.
Conducts and supports routine audits and assessments, both independently and in collaboration with business unit leadership and corporate audit functions.
Leads incident response, investigation, and reporting, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Tracks and reports incidents, near misses, spills, and releases to division, business unit, and corporate leadership on a regular basis.
Monitors, analyzes, and reports on key HSE performance indicators to identify trends and drive improvement initiatives.
Identifies and implements opportunities to enhance safety, reliability, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
Supports the development and continuous improvement of HSE policies, as well as regional and corporate functional teams.
Promotes effective communication and collaboration across division personnel, as well as regional and corporate functional teams.
Perform additional duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.
