HSE & Maintenance Manager (H/F/D)

Joining Sidel Santa Maria Da Feira as HSE & Maintenance Manager means becoming a key driver of operational reliability, workplace safety and continuous improvement. In this role, you will lead local Health, Safety and Environmental activities while ensuring facilities, equipment and maintenance operations remain efficient and compliant. Working within an international and collaborative environment, you will help strengthen a culture where prevention, wellbeing and operational excellence go hand in hand.

YOUR MISSION

• Deploy and manage the local HSE management system in line with Sidel standards, policies and local regulations.
• Lead HSE audits, risk assessments and incident investigations while defining and monitoring corrective and preventive action plans.
• Define and coordinate site safety training initiatives including fire drills, emergency preparedness and first aid programs.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and operational continuity of equipment, machinery and facilities.
• Monitor site security, access control, fire protection systems and contractor activities to maintain a safe working environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety performance, service quality, operational efficiency and cost optimisation.

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, HSE or a related technical field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environmental management within an industrial environment.
• Good understanding of installation, commissioning and industrial maintenance activities.
• Fluent Portuguese and English are mandatory.
• Hands-on leadership style, strong organisational skills and the ability to work proactively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in security risk management, major projects or construction activities would be an advantage.
