Duties: Foster an environment of teamwork, compliance, and continual improvement. Adhere to the Company's objectives, i.e., Safety, Quality, Environmental and Information Security. Ensure compliance with departments standard procedures. Stay informed of plant activities on 7x24 hour basis for HSSE need and plan ahead for necessary levels of support. Perform on campus training of 5S and HSE topics. Participate in weekly or daily toolbox and pre-startup or other required meetings as needed. Verify and issue HSE certifications and provide oversight of assigned HSE program and requirements. Capture and close EHS Non-Conformities in IMS system through observations and near miss reporting. Perform routine audits to ensure compliance and interacts with third party contractors, consultants, and customers. Track 5S and EHS Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the workforce. Develop and Sustain facility continuous improvement program to include top level KPI’s. Interface with senior leadership as needed to address business waste areas and communicate changes needed. Maintain files, databases, key performance metrics, reports, and other data for the HSSE Department. Maintain good standing in 3rd-party prequalification providers such as ISNetworld and Avetta by uploading client specific requirements such as company information and proof of insurance. Ensure all waste streams are properly segregated, labelled and prepared for shipment. Maintain inspection requirements, intervals and analytical testing are performed per Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP3). Drive engagement in the Continuous Improvement program through training, approval/rejection feedback, and by modeling the way through your own improvements. Develop floor layouts utilizing CAD tools. Maintain records/logs as needed to comply with TCEQ Air Permit by Rule. Maintain waste manifests records and track waste haul amounts using Waste Log. Oversee profiling of facility waste streams and maintain waste profile records. Conduct periodic facility inspections to maintain multiple waste collection areas. Conduct Root Cause Analysis using various methods in order to outline causal factors of incidents. Provide inputs to facility layout that support HSSE goals and work environment quality: Auto Cad or other software.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.
Skills Required:Manufacturing production line process. Quality control process. Process control. Root cause analysis. Occupational health or safety in a manufacturing or construction setting. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
Annual base salary: $95,000 year
