Lesaffre, which is a global reference in the yeast industry with its more than 170 years of accumulated knowledge, has been transmitting its international experience to Turkish bakery industry since 1992.
We unite the Lesaffre experience with our wide-spectrum user population by means of our over 600 employees and our production facilities, including our production facility in Lüleburgaz, which we have incorporated into our structure in 2015, in addition to our production facilities in Ceyhan and in Amasya, which have been in use since 1992, the year we started operating in Turkey. We work to become the closest business partner of our users with the help of our brands which specifically address diverse needs. For bakers and home users, we produce yeast in different forms. In addition to yeast, we also provide baking solutions like bread improvers, bread mixes, and blends to bakery sector. The products that we produce are used with confidence in more than 80 countries, including Turkey.

We are looking for a highly motivated HSE Executive to join our Amasya Factory. This role is responsible for leading and supporting all occupational safety processes at the factory.

- Organize and deliver occupational safety training programs for employees and managers,
- Develop and implement occupational safety roadmaps, systems, and procedures,
- To support the employer / employer representative in fulfilling the company’s legal obligations regarding occupational safety across all areas of operation.
- Establish and maintain a structured program for occupational safety inspections, supervision, and controls.
- Ensure monitoring and reporting of occupational safety performance indicators.
- Plan periodic inspections, maintenance, and measurements to be conducted at the workplace, and execute the prepared plans in coordination with the relevant departments.
- Strengthen the occupational safety culture through awareness programs and communication campaigns.
- Support the implementation of site inspections and work permit procedures; manage and monitor contractors in collaboration with the relevant departments.
- Collaborate with departments to develop/update risk assessments, emergency/action plans, building entry/work permit documentation systems, drill planning and implementation, as well as site instructions and procedures; ensure implementation and monitor process performance.
- Plan internal and external audits, safety visits, behavior-based safety programs, cross-audits, and contractor audits; follow up on closure of nonconformities.
- Lead incident/accident/near-miss processes; conduct root cause analysis, track corrective and preventive actions, and report outcomes.
- Support the preparation of the training plan in collaboration with the HR department; monitor its implementation and provide one-on-one occupational safety training,
- Lead monthly Occupational Health and Safety committee meetings; prepare agendas and support the employer/employer representative in ensuring corrective and/or improvement actions are implemented.
- Conduct safety competency assessments of contractors/subcontractors; monitor compliance with contractual requirements and report to senior management.
- Coordinate with relevant deparmants for regulatory requirements, official notifications, and reporting.
- Lead emergency management, drills, and crisis coordination when necessary.
- Support third-party audits conducted at the facilities.
- Integrate Occupational Safety & Fire requirements into the design phase of new facilities and projects; support change management processes.
- Conduct comparative assessments against international safety standards; propose policy and procedure improvements.
- Prepare, contribute to, and publish corporate safety procedures and instructions.
- Promote a safe working culture across the factory and support effective implementation in the field.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor effectiveness of OHS trainings, orientation programs, periodic trainings, and emergency drills for employees and subcontractors.
- Experienced in regulatory inspections and compliance processes.
- Proficient in risk analysis methodologies and supporting their implementation.
- Supervise field applications of Lockout–Tagout processes; possess knowledge of the subject and guide relevant departments.
- Observe, monitor, advise, prepare, and publish monthly occupational health and safety performance for the Group and MEA Region through KPIs.
- Propose the Occupational Safety CAPEX budget, evaluate departmental suggestions, prioritize, and support execution of projects within allocated budget limits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,
- Class B Occupational Health and Safety Certificate issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (Class A preferred),
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Occupational Safety processes,
- Experience in food production industry preferred,
- Strong knowledge of OHS legislation, regulations, labor law, and Social Security practices,
- Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills,
- Knowledgeable in risk assessment, occupational safety inspections, behavior-based occupational safety practices, workplace accident investigation techniques, and legal requirements,
- Fluent in English,
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications,
- Highly organized, disciplined, and team-oriented,
- Holds a Class B driver’s license and actively drives,
- Residing in or willing to relocate to Amasya.
- Preferably holds a NEBOSH International General certification
