The HS&E Environment & Compliance Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust environmental management and regulatory compliance programs and systems within the organization. This role ensures that all operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards regarding health, safety, and environment, with a particular focus on environmental aspects and compliance. This individual collaborates closely with operational teams to foster a culture of safety, environmental protection, and continuous regulatory adherence.
What you need to know about this position:
Legal and regulatory compliance regarding plant safety and environmental issues
Plant environmental management
Contact with North America for environmental management
Stay updated on applicable local, national, and international HS&E legislation and regulations, especially in the environmental field.
Assess the organization's compliance with legal requirements and internal standards.
Coordinate and respond to external and internal compliance audits
Identify opportunities for improvement in HS&E processes and systems to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and ensure compliance.
Support the implementation of new technologies and best practices in HS&E
Education / Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Desirable: Postgraduate degree or certifications in environmental management, HS&E, or management systems (e.g., ISO 14001)
Job specific requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in HS&E roles, with a strong focus on environmental management and regulatory compliance in industrial or manufacturing settings.
Experience interacting with regulatory bodies and managing environmental permits
Attention to detail and accuracy.

Knowledge of management systems- Platform for measuring equipment electricity
