Job Description

Bosch first started its operations in Vietnam in 1994 and registered a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2008. According to the business strategy of Bosch in Vietnam, from 1st July 2014 on all business entities were merged into Bosch Vietnam Co. Ltd. with its head office at Ho Chi Minh City plant (HcP) in Dong Nai Province.

HcP has started its belt assembly in a rented building on 1st August 2008 as the assembly plant of Tilburg Plant (TbP). On 14th April 2011, HcP celebrated the inauguration of the new plant (Lth101 with 17,000 sqm), which did not only allow to increase the production depth, but also to facilitate the push belt assembly of this high-tech product. On 3rd July 2012 HcP marked a big milestone by starting to produce the second component (loop-set) for its push belt. Since November 2012, HcP doubled the production floor space and increase the net total floor space up to 56.000 m², and have successfully increased its production capacity and realized a lot of new line SOP’s.

HSE System Planning, Roadmap & Improvement

  • Implement annual HSE execution plan, Roadmap for building an effective safety culture
  • Ensure the implementation plan includes effective risk management procedures
  • Work closely with HSE team to ensure continual improvement and compliance in HSE

Compliance Monitoring & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with local legislation, Bosch standards and principles e.g. by ensuring Health & Safety is integrated into planning, operational reviews
  • Ensure the safety of all employees, contractors, and visitors on-site by identifying, assessing, and effectively managing all relevant risks.
  • Ensure compliance is regularly audited and performance assessed, and the results used to drive further improvement

Emergency Response Team (ERT) management

  • Coordinate and manage all activities of the Emergency Response Team
  • Plan and execute all activities, events, and drills according to the ERT plan
  • Act as the main point of contact for preparing documentation and hosting internal and external audits related to fire safety and emergency response

Operational Safety & Contractor management

  • Perform safety assessments for MAE and official release for using
  • Ensure the site is under control for employees, contractors and visitors, correct signage and with relevant risks effectively managed
  • Implement and monitor effective risk control measures for all site operations

Handle HSE reporting and take on other tasks as required

  • Collect, analyze data and prepare HSE reports as required by the corporation and relevant government authorization
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the direct manager

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree with relevant majors; related EHS certifications will be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of local HSE legislations

Work experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in multinational manufacturing organizations
  • Good knowledge of local HSE legislations
  • Good computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office

Traits and Skills:

  • Understand of Emergency response in plant and/ or Manufacturing environment
  • Project management and familiar with HSE reports
  • Good communication & collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to analyze complex problems to identify multiple root causes
  • English (intermediate) - Listening, Speaking, Writing and Reading.
