The HSE Coordinator will work alongside the rest of HSE staff to prepare and provide safety training, conduct audits, and make HSE recommendations to ensure all team members are working in a safe environment promoting health and safety for all individuals.

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years HSE experience in an industrial, manufacturing or fabrication focused work environment.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or Safey Management is preferred.
  • Certified Safey Professional (CSP), Associate Safey Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Regional Industrial Hygiene Professional (RIHP), is preferred.
  • Applied understanding of, and experience with, ISO 18001 and ISO 14001 certification, Intellect operating system, and document control.
  • Applied workplace safety and OSHA regulations knowledge to include experience implementing the following critical safety programs: lockout/tagout, fall protection,
    confined space, hazard communication, mobile equipment and machine guarding.
  • Applied experience with environmental sampling with a strong background and knowledge in environmental compliance.
  • Applied technical writing skills and experience with document revisions and history management.

What you will be doing

  • Foster collaborative culture where all employees follow company health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Immediately alert management of any serious health or safety issue and present effective solutions for implementation.
  • Maintain working knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct and document Job Hazard Analyses to be used in production environments.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root cause and document effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Facilitate effective safety committee program across multiple departments.
  • Observe and coach department managers and employees in hazard recognition identifying possible safety concerns and areas of
    improvement.
