Job Description


Summary

The HSE Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental programs across all company locations. This role ensures full compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act and company policies, promotes a culture of safety, and minimizes workplace risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs across all company locations.

  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.

  • Work closely with Facilities Manager

  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventative actions.

  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.

  • Deliver HSE training and induction sessions to employees and contractors.

  • Ensure compliance with all local OSH legislation and company safety standards.

  • Maintain accurate HSE records, documentation, and statistical data.

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders as required.

  • Promote a positive safety culture and encourage employee participation in HSE initiatives.

  • Travel to all company locations to provide on-site HSE support and oversight.


Requirements


  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an HSE Coordinator or similar role

  • Thorough understanding of the OSH Act and its practical application in the workplace.

  • Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety auditing.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Valid Driver's Permit with a clean driving record.

  • Relevant HSE certifications/qualifications would be an asset
