- Manage and maintain documentation and records related to HSE functions.
- Perform regular safety inspections in the manufacturing area to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Update and maintain contractor portals with required OSHA reports and other relevant documentation.
- Assist in the development, implementation and auditing of HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on HSE topics for employees and contractors.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics.
- Investigate and report on incidents and near-misses and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in the development of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Collaborate with the QHSE Manager to ensure continuous improvement in HSE practices.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Assist with quality administration and records when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports.
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
- Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected.
- Maintains a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to function effectively both independently, under supervision, and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Exhibits strong problem-solving abilities.
- Education/
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in [industry, e.g., construction, manufacturing, oil & gas].
- Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Able to travel as needed.
