HSE Associate

Safeguard operational continuity by monitoring the implementation of the company's vision, programs, and initiatives in Safety, Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environment, Human Rights, Vehicle Safety, Field Machinery, and Quality Management Systems across site and field operations.

The HSE Supervisor works closely with the site leadership team to maintain a safe working environment, promoting a safety culture and reinforcing compliance with applicable legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safeguard site and field operations by ensuring full compliance with applicable legislation in environment, safety, quality, and occupational health, as well as corporate standards.

  • Collaborate with the site home/work team in fulfilling QHSE policies and programs, including their updates.

  • Implement, develop, and monitor country-level legal and corporate requirements in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment.

  • Provide guidance to home/work leaders to comply with documentation required by the corporate QHSE department and local regulations.

  • Implement a formal "Train-the-Trainers" process on-site, involving supervisors, work leaders, and all personnel involved in the HSE training process at the site.

  • Conduct periodic assessments to ensure compliance and effectiveness of the safety management system using approved methodologies, such as audits (internal or external), safety walks, inspections, cross-verifications, etc.

  • Ensure adequate performance in Safety, Health, and Environment matters for contractors and visitors within our facilities.

  • Establish the strategy and track indicators related to vehicle safety and field machinery; implement monitoring in vehicles and machinery, as well as necessary training for compliance with policies and legal requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable management system requirements and develop risk assessments leading to the establishment of adequate controls, respecting their prioritization (elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, PPE).

  • Lead the Emergency Preparedness Plan for potential incidents during operations, ensuring the training of a brigade team as first responders in integrity, first aid, rescue, hazardous materials, and facility evacuation.
