HSE Advisor – AMPOL Lytton Refinery Shutdown

Lytton, Brisbane | Early July – September 2026

UGL is currently looking for a suitably qualified HSE Advisor for a major Turnaround project at the Ampol Lytton Refinery in Brisbane. As a key member of the team, this role will be responsible for providing support to the HSE Lead for all safety, health and environment activities on the project. This shutdown will run from Early - July till the end of September

Key responsibility areas

·Provide advice and support to the HSE Lead in the implementation and auditing of Safety, Health and Environment Management Plans

·Ensuring compliance with the Safety and Environment Management plan, Traffic Management plan and Fatigue Management plan

·Advise on all safety, health and environmental issues

·Review all project activities, work practices and procedures for continuous improvement in safety, health and environment

·Provide support and advice to Supervisors in order to achieve health and safety objectives

About You

·Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role

·Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety

·Knowledge of OH&S legislation, Codes of Practice and Australian and State Standards as they apply to the construction and maintenance industry

·Experience in maintenance or shutdown projects

·Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft products in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
