We're seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Advisor to join our team in Childress, TX. This role is central to promoting the health and safety of our employees and maintaining a safe working environment across the facility. The EHS Advisor will work closely with all departments to ensure full compliance with safety regulations. Key responsibilities include identifying potential hazards, assessing risks, and implementing proactive measures to prevent workplace injuries.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and continuously enhance the EHS Management System to ensure well-defined, fit-for-purpose processes that address business needs, mitigate risks, and seize opportunities.
  • Champion a proactive culture of continuous improvement and lead effective change management within a fast-growing, multi-jurisdictional, and multicultural organization.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of health, safety, and environmental risks to identify areas for improvement and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Perform routine audits of safety and environmental performance to verify alignment with regulatory requirements and IREN’s internal policies.
  • Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of safety and environmental data, including key performance indicators and site-specific outcomes.
  • Participate in incident investigations, provide actionable recommendations, and share key learnings to drive site-wide improvements in HSE practices.
  • Collaborate with the site safety manager to develop and execute annual health, safety, and training goals, ensuring measurable progress and successful implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or recognized professional certification in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in occupational or process safety, preferably across sectors such as construction, utilities, electrical infrastructure, or industrial operations.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and industry best practices, with a proven record in implementing effective HSE systems that drive high performance.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and stakeholder groups.
  • Advanced consultative, critical thinking, and analytical abilities, with a strategic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes and risk management, particularly in relation to electrical infrastructure and associated safety requirements.
  • Experience in developing and operating within structured HSE management systems.
  • Proven ability to execute plans effectively, holding both self and others accountable for achieving key performance outcomes.
  • A results-driven mindset with a keen sense of urgency, a willingness to challenge the status quo, and a focus on delivering innovative safety solutions.
  • Proficient in using software tools for compliance tracking, performance assurance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Some travel may be required to support operations across IREN’s network of regional data centers and prospective U.S. sites.

Other important requirements:

  • Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.
  • Must provide own steel-toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
