Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Adviser to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our organisation complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. The HSE Adviser will work closely with management and employees to develop and implement effective HSE policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day safety on site
• Promote and encourage a positive health and safety culture
• Responsible for WHS on site and inform employees of specific safety requirements in absence of Project Manager
• Implement Site Safety Rules and Instructions
• Implementation of HSE documentation on site (HSEMP, SWMS, policies etc)
• Liaise with client and contractor representatives
• Review, update and implement Safe Work Method Statements for high-risk construction works
• Conduct Pre-Start Meetings and Toolbox talks
• Conduct site specific safety induction/briefing & review of WHS Plan including emergency procedures and muster points
• Arrange/Attend HSE meetings as required
• Assist with injury management processes and implement return to work plans
• Ensure all operators VOC certification or licences/certificates are valid
• Conduct training exercises through task and tool SOP’s and VOC assessment as required per the Training Need Analysis and Verification of Competency Procedure

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HSE
• Certificate IV or Diploma (Health and Safety)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solar Project experience advantageous
• Site Based experience advantageous
