ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uphold the mission of the YMCA, and demonstrate behaviors that reflect a determined, nurturing, genuine, hopeful, and welcoming nature.
- Initiate and assist as needed with electronic onboarding process into the PayCom system.
- Process employee changes into the PayCom system.
- Process reference and background checks.
- Process Workers’ Compensation Claims.
- Process Unemployment claims.
- Process FMLA paperwork.
- Assist Payroll and back up as needed.
- Assist YMCA Branches with employee inquires.
- Cover reception desk for lunch breaks, vacations, sick days, etc.
- Assist in the All About Leadership (new employee orientation) when needed (weeknight sessions).
- Additional tasks as needed.
QualificationsKNOW HOW/REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum age of 21.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Team player with personal commitment to nurture the YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character
- Development Values.
- Be able to create a Welcoming atmosphere that is people centered & service oriented.
- Able to build Hopeful relationships with our members and co-workers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A Determined, consistent, positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to use basic office equipment.
- Excellent Computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.
