Job Description

The HRIS Specialistsupports the operation and accuracy of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) by entering, maintaining, and validating employee data. By maintaining data integrity, supporting system users, and helping execute HR processes within the HRIS, this role provides essential operational support to HR, payroll, and other internal partners.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no direct reports

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain HRIS data integrity by assisting with routine and ad hoc audits, correcting discrepancies, and ensuring consistent data quality.

  • Respond to basic HRIS inquiries from employees, managers, and HR team members; provide clear guidance and troubleshooting support.

  • Run scheduled HR reports and dashboards; develop and distribute recurring and custom reports as requested.

  • Support configuration updates, workflow adjustments, and system improvements under the direction of the Director of HRIS

  • Participate in the rollout of HRIS enhancements, system releases, and process modifications—including testing, documentation, and end user communication.

  • Assist with documenting HRIS procedures and workflows to support user adoption.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional HR team members to ensure processes are aligned, efficient, and compliant.

  • Maintain security permissions and user access according to organizational policies and job requirements.

  • Monitor system performance, identify issues or inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.

Work Environment:

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel may be required

Required education and experience:

  • Associate's degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent HRIS experience.

  • 1-2 years of experience with an HRIS, HR administration, or HR reporting.

  • Experience with data entry, HR support, administrative work, and customer service.

  • Proficiency with Excel and other reporting tools.

Preferred education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Data Analytics, or related field

  • Experience with UKG.

  • Prior involvement in HRIS upgrades, configuration, or workflow design.

  • Experience creating dashboards or advanced reports.

  • HR or HRIS-related certifications
