Position Summary

The HRIS & People Analytics Analyst supports the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and People Analytics functions by maintaining HR technology solutions, developing reporting and dashboards, analyzing workforce data, and delivering actionable insights that support business decision-making.

This role serves as a key partner to Team and Culture and business units by ensuring data integrity, supporting HR technology administration, and helping transform workforce data into meaningful insights. The HRIS & People Analytics Analyst plays an active role in system optimization, reporting automation, workforce analytics, and strategic initiatives that enhance the employee experience and support organizational goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting, Analytics & Insights

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver workforce analytics, dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and reporting that provide leaders with accurate, actionable people insights.
  • Analyze workforce data and trends across engagement, hiring, performance, retention, and organizational health to identify risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Translate complex people data into executive-ready presentations, reports, and recommendations that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Design, administer, and analyze employee surveys and listening programs, turning feedback into actionable insights, owners, and measurable action plans.
  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to define reporting needs, answer key business questions, and deliver data-driven solutions that improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Support workforce planning and forecasting efforts by developing staffing models, analyzing talent demand and capacity, and providing visibility into headcount needs and timing.
  • Maintain data integrity through consistent metric definitions, governance practices, and validation processes to ensure reliable workforce reporting and decision support.

HRIS Administration & Project Support

  • Support the administration, maintenance, optimization, configuration, testing, and continuous improvement of the Dayforce HRIS platform and related HR technology solutions.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure HR data accuracy, consistency, and alignment between Dayforce, reports, dashboards, and downstream systems.
  • Maintain data integrity, security, integrations, and file transmissions through ongoing monitoring, audits, and issue resolution.
  • Support system implementations and enhancements through testing, release management, change communications, training, and end-user documentation to drive successful adoption.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and serve as a trusted resource for HR technology, data, reporting, and process-related inquiries.
  • Adhere to company safety standards and the Mission, Vision, and Values of Stanley Martin Homes.
  • Complete other duties assigned by manager.

  • High level of professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, and responsible handling of sensitive employee and organizational data.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and collaborate across teams and organizational levels.

Position Requirements

Required

  • 3-5 years of experience supporting HRIS, reporting, analytics, or related HR technology functions.
  • Experience with HR systems and developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data management techniques.
  • Strong understanding of HR data, workforce metrics, and ability to learn new technologies and train users effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize data and insights for leadership audiences.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field preferred.
  • Dayforce experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with workforce planning, people analytics, business intelligence reporting, or visualization tools such as Power BI, Omni, or Tableau.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, APIs, data integrations, or HR system implementation and configuration projects.
