Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HRIS & Data Engineering Manager to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our HR technology and data ecosystem. This role combines deep expertise in HR systems (such as Workday or similar platforms) with strong hands-on leadership in modern data engineering practices.
The role is responsible for overseeing HRIS strategy, integrations, and data governance while also managing scalable data pipelines and analytics infrastructure that support HR, finance, and business intelligence needs. This position will manage and mentor data engineers, drive automation and AI-enabled solutions, and ensure reliable, high-quality data delivery across the organization.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in platforms such as Snowflake and Fivetran, along with enterprise HRIS experience, and excels at partnering with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

HRIS & HR Technology Strategy

  • Lead the overall HRIS strategy, roadmap, and governance to ensure scalability, compliance, and business alignment.
  • Evaluate and optimize existing HR platforms (e.g., Workday or similar) and recommend enhancements, integrations, or modernization initiatives.
  • Support potential HRIS platform transitions by ensuring strong data migration, system governance, and change management.

Data Engineering & Architecture

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing data pipelines for HR and enterprise data.
  • Oversee data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration using tools such as Fivetran and Snowflake
  • Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and performance across reporting, analytics, and downstream business systems.

Data Governance & Analytics Enablement

  • Establish and enforce data governance standards, including data quality, security, access controls, and compliance.
  • Partner with HR Analytics and BI teams to deliver accurate dashboards, workforce analytics, and predictive insights.
  • Enable effective self-service reporting while maintaining data integrity.

AI, Automation & Process Optimization

  • Identify and implement AI-driven and automation solutions to improve HR processes, data workflows, and employee experience.
  • Drive operational efficiency by simplifying workflows and reducing manual data handling.
  • Stay current on emerging HR technology, analytics, and AI trends to continuously improve system capabilities.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers and technical analysts.
  • Serve as a key liaison between HR, IT, Finance, and other business teams for system enhancements and data needs.
  • Lead cross-functional projects including system upgrades, new data initiatives, integrations, and enterprise rollouts.

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of experience in HRIS, data engineering, or HR technology in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday or comparable HR platforms (SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Dayforce, etc.).
  • Strong expertise in modern data platforms and tools, including:
    • Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouses)
    • Fivetran (or other ETL/ELT tools)
    • Airflow (or other orchestration frameworks)
  • Knowledge of AI tools, data analytics, and emerging HR technologies.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, influence stakeholders, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

The anticipated compensation range is

69,000.00 - 137,000.00 USD Annual

Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors including qualifications, education, experience, and location. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
