We are looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy HRIS Analyst (Workday) to join our People and Culture Team. In this role, you will be a key steward of our Workday platform — ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement of HR systems and processes. You will oversee Workday update management, HR transactions, and system security, serving as a trusted subject-matter expert across HR, Payroll, Time and Attendance, Benefits, and Recruitment. Additional Workday modules will be introduced in 2027.

What You'll be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities
Workday Update & Release Management
• Manage system updates, enhancements, and bi-annual Workday releases, including planning, testing (UAT, regression), and implementation of new functionality.
• Partnerwith HR Functional Leads to optimize and support end-to-end system lifecycle activities, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
HR Transactions & Data Management
• Manage daily Workday business process transactions, including corrections, cancels, rescinds, and addressing transactions issues as needed.
• Handle 'to do' and 'review' steps within HR Core (e.g., ESS personal changes, work permit reviews, job change requests, role assignments, and supervisory organization creation).
• Manage and process standardized Mass Changes using Enterprise Integration Builder (EIB), including intake, impact assessment, testing, and implementation (e.g., reorganizations, cost centre changes, location cleanups, branch realignments).
• Support compensation and benefits cycles (merit, bonus, equity), ensuring accurate system configuration and data integrity.
Security & Access Management
• Support security configuration and role-based access management within Workday.
• Maintain data governance practices that ensure integrity, compliance, and consistency across Workday.
Reporting, Audits & Compliance
• Perform audits to ensure data integrity and compliance; address data issues.
• Deliver actionable workforce insights through reporting and analytics (scheduled & ad-hoc), supporting data-driven decision-making across HR and business leadership.
Stakeholder Support & Continuous Improvement
• Provide support to business and troubleshoot Workday issues, correct errors, and resolve cases through to completion.
• Act as a trusted advisor on Workday capabilities, guiding stakeholders toward best-practice system design and process optimization. Payroll knowledge a strong asset.
• Provide end-user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to HR and business stakeholders to drive adoption and self-sufficiency.
What You'll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements
• 3–5 years of hands-on Workday experience, including HCM, configuration, and transaction management; experience with Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Recruiting, and Benefit modules and Workday EIBs is an asset.
• Strong understanding of HR processes across the full employee lifecycle within a Workday environment.
• Proficiency in building Workday reports and dashboards, including calculated fields and advanced reporting tools, as well as data visualization.
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis) and Workday report building; knowledge ofPowerBI.
• Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, IT, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision across all tasks.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Collaborative team-player mindset and the ability to build relationships easily.
• Outcome-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and an ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, with strong time management.
• Highly self-directed and proactive, with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives from concept through execution.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive HR data with the highest level of discretion, ensuring privacy and data integrity at all times.
