The HR technology analyst is responsible for supporting human resources technology initiatives. Responsibilities include developing business requirements; analyzing and resolving application/system issues; recommending, testing and implementing modifications/enhancements; analyzing data in support of human resources administration and projects; and developing documentation and providing human resources systems training.
Researches, designs and maintains human resources systems in support of human resources administration and projects. Analyzes business needs, consults on best practices and develops business requirements. Develops and coordinates project plans for implementation of assigned projects. (35-40%)
Coordinates the maintenance and enhancements of human resources systems with information technology staff. Serves as liaison with information technology staff in resolving system issues and completing human resources systems projects. Prepares and executes test plans and implements modifications/enhancements for human resources systems. (35-40%)
Analyzes data and develops reports from human resources systems for responding to data requests, tracking metrics and meeting regulatory requirements. Defines requirements, prepares and executes test plans and resolves issues with inbound and outbound data interfaces. (10-20%)
Develops and maintains web-based human resources content. (5%)
Assesses training needs, develops curriculum/training materials and conducts training on human resources systems and processes. (5%)
Performs additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (5%)
Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management, information technology, a related field or equivalent related work experience. (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Three years of experience in human resources, information technology or a related field.
Strong knowledge of human resources data and processes.
Knowledge of human resources technology and related applications; experience with the integration of human resources systems.
Demonstrated proficiency in software skills to extract and analyze information.
Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Effective oral and written communication skills, including presentation and training skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
