We are seeking an experienced HR Technology Analyst specializing in Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, and Benefits. In this role, you will design and apply deep Workday expertise to govern complex payroll, accrual, and time configurations. You will drive innovation across pay related processes, lead cross functional initiatives, and translate business needs into clear, user focused system designs. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, advanced configuration proficiency, and the ability to deliver accurate, compliant, and high-quality HR technology solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Design, build, test, and deploy configurations in Workday Payroll and Time Tracking for the US and Canada, Absence Tracking globally including:
Time Entry Templates, Time Entry Codes, Time Calculation Groups/Rules, eligibility and validation rules, Meal/Rest penalties, and schedule policies.
Time off plans and related components (accruals, time offs, eligibility rules, etc.), leave types, and related absence configurations (worklets, reporting).
Maintain business processes, domains, and task routing related to payroll, time, and absence.
Time clock support, including clock and badge purchases, data reconciliation, impacts and flow of connection points, and other as needed.
Act as a lead for cross-functional projects through ongoing requirements gathering, design, test, deployment, and maintenance of Workday configuration for new functionality or enhancements.
Partner closely with COE leaders to understand business needs and translate into technical requirements; influence design decisions and resolve complex Workday issues; proactively seek feedback on suggested solutions.
Support Payroll and Benefits integrations, updates and mass uploads to Workday, including review of data quality, business process logic, and validating accuracy of results.
Evaluate Workday semiannual releases and identify features that improve payroll accuracy, compliance, and processing efficiency.
Recommend and implement process and system enhancements, including automation and error-reduction strategies.
Develop and maintain system documentation including business processes and procedures.
Update or develop system configuration requirements and documentation for requested enhancements.
Add new configuration elements to the various HR workstreams, including approved changes to business processes, organization changes, workflows, and security models.
Analyze, design and build new complex custom reports relating multiple objects and including data transformations with standard Workday reporting functionality (ex: Report Writer, Calculated Fields).
Design, build, and support testing of Workday integration code base including Studio, EIB and supporting 3rd party coding.
Prepare test plans and scripts; executes test scripts; oversees and supports UAT.
Respond to questions and issues related to system functionality via phone, e-mail, case management system; research and report system defects/bugs to vendor to ensure timely resolution.
Deliver timely and quality work while demonstrating effective work prioritization.
Troubleshoots HRIS issues and errors, quickly resolving them along with root causes.
Back-up for other HRIS Analysts.
YOU HAVE:
B.S/B.A. in Computer Science, Human Resources, or related field; or an equivalent in combined education and work experience.
4+ years of Workday configuration experience with a strong focus on Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
Bilingual, strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish isrequired.
Proven success designing complex pay calculation rules, accrual configurations, time valuation, eligibility, and payroll workflows.
Payroll, Time Tracking required; Absence preferred, Benefits, Project Time Tracking and Attendance Tracking experience are a plus.
Workday technical skills; Studio, EIBs and reports required.
Experience with time clocks, Dormakaba preferred.
