What You'll Be Doing


The Human Resources (HR) Systems Manager leads the strategy, optimization and innovation of our HR technology ecosystem. In this role, you will drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise HR platforms that power our talent, payroll, and workforce operations. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of HR processes, ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, integrated, and aligned with business goals. Essential Functions:
  • Consult across HR functions, translate business needs into technology solutions, and build a team culture rooted in continuous learning and proactive problem-solving
  • Provide leadership and oversight for HR technology operations and strategy; supervise and coach HRIS team members with an emphasis on proactive professional development and continuous learning; plan, prioritize, and manage programs, projects, and workflows; ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Manage system integrations, upgrades, testing cycles, and issue resolution, coordinating with vendors and internal teams as needed
  • Develop and maintain documentation, workflows, and standards to support consistent system usage and compliance with organizational policies
  • Provide guidance and support to HR staff and end users to ensure effective adoption of HR systems and related technologies

NOTE: This is a 60% hybrid position and requires the ability to report on-site to the Wake County Downtown Office in Raleigh, North Carolina, within one hour, as business needs dictate.

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources or a related field.
  • Three years of experience as a systems analyst or administrator including at least two years of management experience.
  • Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)

  • Proficiency with major Human Capital Management (HCM) cloud platforms
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide cross functional teams, drive technology initiatives, and cultivate a collaborative, solution focused environment
  • Experience with data management, including reporting, analytics, data integrity, and audit processes.
  • Knowledge of system integration tools, application programming interfaces (APIs), middleware, and data exchange formats (for example: XML, JSON, SFTP).
  • Strong understanding of project management methods, testing cycles, change management, and release management within HR systems
  • Risk identification, mitigation strategies, and contingency planning

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30-5:15 (Local Hybrid)

Hiring Range: $91,564 - $128,189

Market Range: $91,564 - $164,813
