We are recruiting for two HR Support Officers to join People Relations Team:
1 post full time 37 hours per week
1 post part time 22.2 hours per
County Hall, Norwich – The working arrangements for this post will be hybrid working with remote and office-based work.
We are looking to appoint a proactive HR Support Officer with excellent attention to detail and can-do attitude to join our support team.
We are the first point of contact for managers throughout NCC on all employee relation matters. We respond daily to a considerable range of important enquiries on people topics including contracts of employment, performance management, absence management, recruitment, employee benefits and leaving employment. In summary we provide first line advice, guidance, and support throughout the employee lifecycle.
In addition to the above, the successful post holder will also support the Norfolk Development Academy who are responsible for Core Skills, Digital Skills and Leadership and Management learning and development. The successful candidate will support with project administration for a wide range of activities and events on behalf of managers and consultants in the L&D team.
You will have good administration skills and be able to use your initiative, have strong customer service skills, flexibility in your approach to daily tasks and excellent interpersonal skills to support building relationships with people both inside and outside of Norfolk County Council. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) is essential, as is experience of considering new ways of working, developing new systems and processes, and managing your own workload.
