Responsibilities:
Assist the Human Resources team with compensation and benefits needs during recruitment, talent management, and retention.
Train line managers in the complex use of Barrick's various compensation policies;
Advise department heads and supervisors on compensation standards and benefits for national employees;
Provide recommendations to department heads regarding job descriptions, salaries and job categories;
Analyze the different sections of the payroll;
Participate in annual salary surveys;
Prepare budget forecasts and provide advice regarding salary increase requests;
Conduct periodic audits and submit reports;
Monitor the compliance of staff compensation and ensure that compensation practices comply with applicable laws and regulations;
Coordinate compensation and benefits processes such as salary planning, bonus planning, and the introduction of new benefits;
Review job descriptions for different positions and determine the appropriate base salary;
Implement and manage the classification of site positions in collaboration with the Regional Compensation and Benefits Manager;
Analyze job descriptions and evaluate them;
Train HR staff, line supervisors and worker representatives in the principles of job evaluation;
Create a correlation table of local categories compared to Barrick standards;
Ensure the proper application of the employee communication policy.
Determine the tax obligations related to the benefits in collaboration with the HR Manager;
Align with the principles of ISO 30415 diversity and inclusion, applied to all our processes, including recruitment.
Work in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards
Qualifications:
(MBA, Master in HR or Master in Finance / Compensation & Benefits)
Other certifications:
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
SHRM-SCP / SHRM-CP
Experience and Skills Requirements:
8 to 12 years in HR, including at least 5 years in compensation, benefits, or total compensation management.
Proven experience in designing salary structures, evaluating positions, administering benefits, overseeing payroll, and managing incentive plans.
Belonging to the ONPGRH -DRC national order of HR management professionals and/or ACPRH Congolese association of HR professionals is an asset.
Mastery of HRIS, payroll systems, reporting tools and Excel/analytics. Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Ability to produce dashboards, reports and track KPIs related to compensation and benefits Ability to advise management on market trends, talent availability and recruitment strategies
Expertise in the design and implementation of compensation policies, salary grids, bonuses and benefits programs.
