Position Summary:
The Total Rewards Partner supports the execution and continuous improvement of the company’s global Total Rewards programs. Reporting to the HR Director – Total Rewards, this role partners with regional HR teams and business stakeholders to coordinate program operations, strengthen financial processes, support vendor administration, produce meaningful analysis, and promote a consistent employee experience across Gowan’s global footprint.
The position combines program coordination, analysis, and hands-on operational support. The role independently manages assigned workstreams and serves as the primary point of coordination for Coupa-related Total Rewards activity and routine vendor operations, helping create capacity for the HR Director – Total Rewards to lead enterprise strategy, program design, governance, subject-matter leadership, and key external relationships.

Role Responsibilities:
- Supports the execution and continuous improvement of global and local benefits, wellbeing, retirement, compensation, and related Total Rewards programs.
- Partners with regional HR teams to promote consistent program administration, communication, and employee support while recognizing legitimate local requirements and market practices.
- Serves as an operational resource for regional HR partners by clarifying established program requirements, coordinating issue resolution, and connecting stakeholders with the appropriate internal teams or vendors.
- Escalates matters requiring strategic interpretation, subject-matter expertise, policy decisions, or material exceptions to the HR Director – Total Rewards.
- Supports implementation of global Total Rewards direction established by the HR Director – Total Rewards by developing practical processes, tools, timelines, and communications.
- Supports annual Total Rewards activities, including renewals, open enrollment, merit and compensation cycles, benchmarking, audits, compliance reviews, and employee communications.
- Owns day-to-day coordination of Total Rewards activity in Coupa, including supplier onboarding, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoice routing, coding, approvals, and issue resolution.
- Partners with Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement, HR, and vendors to ensure invoices are accurate, timely, properly supported, and aligned with contracts and approved budgets.
- Maintains visibility into Total Rewards commitments, recurring expenses, invoice status, budget variances, and upcoming renewals; escalates financial risks in a timely manner.
- Develops and maintains standardized processes, trackers, documentation, and controls for vendor payments, contract renewals, cost allocations, and financial reconciliations.
- Analyzes vendor spend, utilization, cost, market, service, and employee-experience data to identify trends and provide practical recommendations to Total Rewards leadership.
- Supports vendor administration by maintaining a centralized inventory of contracts, renewal dates, service scope, key contacts, fees, performance commitments, and required deliverables.
- Leads routine vendor meetings and follow-up activities as assigned, tracks open items, monitors agreed timelines, and escalates material service, relationship, financial, or compliance concerns.
- Supports requests for proposals, vendor evaluations, implementations, renewals, contract reviews, and transitions by coordinating requirements, timelines, documentation, and stakeholder input.
- Prepares clear summaries, dashboards, presentations, and recommendations that communicate findings, risks, options, and proposed next steps for leadership review.
- Leads assigned process-improvement and program workstreams from discovery through implementation, including stakeholder coordination, change management, documentation, and measurement of results.
- Coordinates resolution of complex Total Rewards cases by gathering facts, engaging the appropriate vendor or internal partner, tracking progress, and communicating outcomes.
- Supports compliance activities and required filings in partnership with Legal, Finance, Payroll, regional HR, brokers, and outside advisors; maintains accurate and audit-ready records.
- Creates clear, employee-friendly communications and resources that improve understanding of Total Rewards programs.
- Handles sensitive employee and company information with a high level of confidentiality, judgment, and professionalism.
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- Preferred: Relevant professional certification in benefits, compensation, HR, project management, or a related discipline.
Experience / Skills / Abilities:
- Required: Three or more years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, benefits, compensation, HR operations, vendor administration, procurement, or a related field.
- Preferred: Experience supporting global or multi-region programs and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate vendors, projects, financial processes, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of benefit and compensation program administration, data analysis, financial controls, and HR compliance principles.
- Experience with Coupa or a comparable procurement/accounts-payable platform preferred; experience with HRIS and reporting tools required.
- Strong Excel, analytical, project-management, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze information, identify risks and opportunities, and develop practical recommendations rather than only presenting issues.
- Ability to organize competing priorities, follow through consistently, and operate effectively in a changing global environment.
- Builds trusted working relationships across HR, Finance, Payroll, Procurement, Legal, IT, regional teams, and external partners.
- Exercises sound judgment regarding when to act independently and when to escalate matters involving material financial exposure, compliance risk, employee impact, policy exceptions, or enterprise-level changes.
Job Expectations / Working Conditions:
- Full-Time / On-Site at Gowan’s Yuma location.
- Occasional travel may be required to support regional or global Total Rewards activities.
