Your Job: As an HR Specialist, Asia, you provide reliable, accurate, and timely HR operations, office administration, employee support, and internal communication coordination for your assigned location(s) in Asia. You execute established processes, respond to routine employee inquiries, and support expatriate coordination, HR programs, and internal communications under guidance from HR Management. You partner closely with Asia HR team and support collaboration with US HR teams, Asia leaders, and local stakeholders by coordinating information, documentation, and communication execution. This role focuses on operational execution, service quality, and developing sound HR judgment while working within pre‑determined approaches.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Office Administration Management
  • Support day-to-day office operations and workplace services (supplies, facilities requests, vendors, invoices, visitor support, meeting logistics, and local office communications).
  • Coordinate business travel and visitor logistics including bookings, local transportation, and required documentation.
  • Support expatriate and short-term assignment logistics under guidance, including coordination of housing setup, transportation, schooling information, local registrations, and work permit/visa documentation packets.
  • Maintain organized administrative records (contracts, vendor files, invoices, approvals) and support basic tracking for budgeting and vendor service follow-up.
  • Coordinate local office events and logistics in support of engagement and internal communication activities.

  • Human Resources Management
  • Act as a primary point of contact for routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefit schemes, payroll-related topics, and standard HR processes; route complex matters appropriately.
  • Execute HR operations across the employee lifecycle (onboarding/offboarding checklists, employee data changes, document collection, and basic case tracking) in partnership with Asia HR teammates.
  • Administer Leave of Absence (LOA) processes in partnership with the Workday team, including employee communications, paperwork processing, and accurate record maintenance.
  • Support payroll administration by coordinating inputs and required documentation with local external payroll vendors; track questions and escalate discrepancies.
  • Exercise individual judgment when handling routine or potential issues; escalate concerns to HR Leaders’ attention based on defined escalation guidance.
  • Support internal communications execution (InsideTrack, BrooksLifeAsia eNewsletter, and HR emails) by coordinating content, publishing support, and distribution.
  • Coordinate with Asia leaders, local managers, and regional stakeholders to gather inputs, images, and stories for internal communications.
  • Support people programs and training logistics (onboarding sessions, mentorship coordination support, employee awards, Connect training, annual soft-skill training), including scheduling, communications, and attendance tracking.
  • Support local execution of A&O-related communication initiatives (e.g., demographic data collection notices, integrated training communications).
  • Provide support broader HR projects as assigned, completing defined tasks and assisting on local, low‑complexity projects and assignments under guidance

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 1 year+ experience in Human Resources field.
  • Knowledge of current trends and practices relating to HR concepts.
  • Good interpersonal and influence skills with experience establishing credibility and working relationships at all levels with diverse nationalities in a multi-cultural working environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
  • Highly learning agile: capable of adapting quickly to change and applying new information and skills to work duties.
  • Results-oriented person with the ability to balance and prioritize numerous tasks and utilize all available resources with a high sense of urgency and self-motivation
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Offices; experience in Workday and applicant tracking systems.
  • Passionate participation in sports activities, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community.
